Agenda and Registration
Have you ever considered forming an Envirothon team? The Mass Envirothon Spring Workshop is an opportunity to get a look at the program and test whether it might be a good fit for you and your students. Prospective coaches are welcome to come alone or bring students. Workshop participants will be able to sample such hands-on learning opportunities as collecting macro-invertebrates in a stream, a wildlife habitat assessment hike, analyzing soils in a soil pit, and identifying and measuring trees. They will also get a chance to hear stories of how teams get started on community research for the Current Issue (this year’s topic: Agricultural Soil and Water Conservation). Workshop sessions and lunchtime offer opportunities to meet natural resource professionals and experienced coaches. The afternoon will consist of a mini-Envirothon, with teams visiting stations and answering sample test questions as practice for the competition in May.
